In 2010, Drew began producing for Emmanuel Jal, a former child soldier from South Sudan who was rescued by a British aid worker and later found his voice through freestyling and writing lyrics on the streets of Nairobi. As Jal’s career grew, he became an internationally acclaimed artist and activist, using Hip Hop and spoken word to tell his remarkable life story. Drew not only produced for Jal but also toured the world with him as Musical Director and drummer, performing across Europe, North America, and beyond—an experience that broadened Drew’s global outlook and deepened his connection to music as a tool for storytelling and social change.
